  15. Yes it is true.  Some group, somewhere went through the trouble to localize
  16. Japanese and Chinese in DOS and on the Workbench.  I belive from someones post
  17. way back said that there was such a "kit" available in Japan, but only for
  18. 1.3.  I need to find out who and where so I can get in touch with them.  I did
  19. a version on one of the libraries and it had a date of 26-1-96, so someone is
  20. still working on it.

  22. For those who want to know, I have currently the system menus, requesters, dos
  23. shell etc...  in Japanese.  The font driver library only does EUC encoded
  24. text, so no JIS.  But there quite a lot of EUC text as I found out while
  25. browsing with AMosiac an Alynx using the fonts.  A converter exists on Aminet.
  26. There are two font sizes in 16 and 18 for the system.

  28. It would be great if there was such a kit commercially available for me as a
  29. student of the language. Plus if would give others a chance to write catalogs
  30. for the vast number of programs currently available. Plus it would benifit
  31. AMIGA TECH as well!  Hey, there is over a billion people who can speak
  32. Chinese!(^_^)
